Ted Cantu posts -- Here are just a few things you need to know... Online marketing has taken a few new intersting twists and turns....
The last few weeks have literally tipped the online marketing world upsidedown. There are plenty of new reasons to get excited. The IPHONE has opened up a lot of doors to potentially unheard of companies. This revolution has levelled the playing field.
There are some things you need to know about how to get your marketing fully automated. There is a magic number in case you are wondering. We have tested this out and found that the number of blog posts, web sites, info sites and podcasts are important. If you do not have any of these things in place working for you it is going to be difficult to get people to subscribe to you.

Working with blogs, RSS, podcasts and IPHONES are extremely important to the livelihood of your company. For one thing it is going to keep it afloat. There are too many sites out there that are collecting cyberdust.
Google recognizes this as a potential problem and has put things in place. There are new policies now concerning how relevant a site is. If there are no changes made to your site in the context of content it will be yanked from the search engine in two years. This spells out a significant danger to a company that has MEGA PAGES and online infrastructure. In a worst case scenario that company could disappear off the search engine radar for good.
Having an inhouse web server guy is not going to be enough to save you. You will need to employ a REAL SEO GUY to get into your web pages and get them to talk to the multitude of online servers, podcast servers, blogs etc. to keep your pages visible. There is a real misconception of hiring a generic computer Mr. Fixit type - (janitor with a lap top) who prances around taking care of litle fires. To keep your company firmly ANCHORED INTO THE GROUND you will need to get some technical savvy people who understand what the search engines are looking for.
To get more on that situation check out this post on Googles new policy....
** The other big news in marketing is the new mobile media aspect.
WEB SITES AS WE KNOW THEM WILL BE OBSOLETE
To make sure you stay on the forefront of whats happening check out the new mobile web page formats. You will need these to stay active and in front of your public. Smart companies have already included sections on their sites that embrace this new searchable web site ability. But the number of sites out there that use mobile web pages are very small.
You will want to include a portion of your web site to be accessible to mobile marketers. There are people walking around the cities looking for cool stuff to do, things to buy, places to shop and you could be in the middle of all of that with your own web site. It has to be geared towards these potential buyers. If you are not taking steps to amp your site up to this level then you are going to be missing out on a large potential part of profit revenue.
